« Avec ce premier album éponyme, BRUME prolonge les thématiques esquissées dans « Tunnel » sorti en 2020. L’oeuvre s’enracine dans la nostalgie, la déception, l’attente, la solitude, la dépression… Elle finit toutefois sur une note positive avec le morceau « Redemption », tout comme « Tunnel » finissait avec un « Halo » de lumière, finalité d’un processus de résilience apportant, si ce n’est une solution, tout au moins une consolation aux difficultés de l’existence ».

With this first eponymous album, BRUME extends the themes sketched in « Tunnel » released in 2020. The work is rooted in nostalgia, disappointment, expectation, loneliness, depression… It ends however on a positive note with the track « Redemption », just as « Tunnel » ended with a « Halo » of light, finality of a process of resilience bringing, if not a solution, at least a consolation to the difficulties of the existence.

First Came The Shadow – Premonition – SOR 12 by Sleepless Owl Records
“Tue l’amour” is the soundtrack of a film that does not exist, where synthetic percussions and distorted drones mix with sensitive keyboards and acoustic instruments for this false soundtrack which addresses mourning.
The first single « Le sel », an unconcealed tribute to Baladamenti, brings down the anger with creeping synths behind electronic percussion created in modular. A bass clarinet and violins conclude the piece with sweetness and melancholy.

Formed in 2017 and after five years as a trio, two EPs and an album, Saint-Amour, Lyon-based Malevil have mutated. The three of them played epic prog rock drowned under harsh mellotrons and arpeggiators. 2023; the machines won. As a duo, they continue to explore and experiment with synthesis by refocusing on their machines and modular synths to create the material for these new tracks.
